Fremantle Council
Elected 2025
Listening to the community I am a part of and reflecting their priorities to council is my main objective. An informed community, that knows when and how to have input into local decision making, creates a strong connected community.
Fremantle has amazing natural resources, from beach to bush, that need protecting. Access to green, open spaces increase feelings of wellbeing. Urban greenery and biodiversity should be celebrated and amplified.
Think globally, act locally. This statement is an important part of my daily decision making. The City of Fremantle's Nuclear Free Zone is a great example of a local policy reflecting the importance of global peace. As my neighbour first asked me when I moved to Hilton 14 years ago "Are you for Peace?". Yes, I am, therefore I support no nuclear infrastructure or material transport through Fremantle.
Can you access all parts of the city that you want to?
Do you have access to decision makers?
Is your feedback heard, read or seen and acted upon?
Are our public buildings fit for purpose?
Is everyone welcome?
Do you have choice and agency to live where you want to?
This is accessibility.
Being an active citizen is important. Your council vote is optional but should be taken seriously with the aim to build the community you want to live in. Help is available.
