Candidate Profile

I'm Pip Slaughter, a Hilton local. I've lived in Fremantle with my family for 15 years. I will be focussed on representing the needs of East Ward in a council which works collaboratively for the benefit of all. Increased tree canopy, quality open space, safer walkable streets, all with community consultation, are my priorities.

I have experience in board governance, holding leadership and volunteer roles at local Primary and High School P&C's, Hilton Precinct, Fremantle PCYC, community choirs and Not for Profit groups. From this base I bring a new, measured voice to council, that listens to our community and works towards a vibrant, accessible and inclusive Fremantle. Events initiated and run by the community need council support.

A peaceful, liveable, thriving, creative, resilient city with a working Port - thats the kind of place I want to live in! It would be an honour to give my time, skills and experience towards achieving these goals.
